James M. Carman is a graduate of Alfred University and received his law degree from St. John’s University School of Law in 1992. As the managing partner of the firm’s Litigation Department, Jim provides our clients with extensive experience analyzing coverage issues, defending third-party liability claims, and guiding them through the New York Litigation process. He has extensive personal injury trial experience in both State and Federal courts. He has been the lead trial attorney in personal injury and product liability claims, defended municipal corporations with respect to claims under the Federal Civil Rights law, prosecuted product liability subrogation losses against manufacturers, and defended large-exposure personal injury losses. In addition, Jim has significant appellate practice having perfected Appeals in the Appellate Divisions of the First and Second Departments, the Appellate Terms of the First and Second Departments as well as the in the United States Court of Appeals, Second Circuit.
