Paul A. Barrett is a graduate of Alfred University and received his law degree from Brooklyn Law School. Prior to joining the firm, Paul worked as a claims supervisor for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and CNA Insurance Company. He also worked for Reliance National as a claims account manager, where he developed, implemented, and monitored the claims handling procedures for national accounts. Paul joined the firm in 1999 and has been responsible for defending bodily injury, property damage, and medical provider billing claims under both personal and commercial policies. He has a particular expertise investigating and evaluating potential exposure under New York’s No-Fault Law and defending claims involving provider/claimant fraud, provider billing abuses and/or unnecessary treatment. In 2003, Paul became one of the firm’s partners. As an attorney with significant claims experience, Paul provides our clients with a well-rounded perspective for litigating claims from their inception through trial. Paul is admitted to the New York bar, as well as the United States Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
